The Law of Attraction and Sports?

Yesssss!

For 30+ years, I have touted the need for the integration of life skills curriculum that would utilize the enthusiasm of youth for sports while educating them for life after sports. My theory was based on sport-skill instruction and the performance of those skills by athletes. With each successful performance, young athletes' beliefs created more successful performances; they programmed themselves for athletic success. I believed, and still believe that the same instruction + practice = performance equation can, and should be taught while teaching sport skills. I strongly believe in teaching to learning styles.

Learning Styles Controversy

As recently as 2016, articles have been published that call learning styles/experiential learning theory, "neuromyth" citing that

"very few studies have even used an experimental methodology capable of testing the validity of learning styles applied to education. Moreover, of those that did use an appropriate method, several found results that flatly contradict the popular meshing hypothesis. We conclude therefore, that at present, there is no adequate evidence base to justify incorporating learning styles assessments into general educational practice." (https://qz.com/585143)

Note: I have been an "academic". Therefore, this blog is as controversial if not more than the research refuting neuroscience and learning styles. Why? Because Quantum Physics "backs up" what I am saying.

The Law of Attraction is perhaps one of the most controversial concepts grounded in truth. Applying scientific principles of quantum physics, one need only understand that "like attracts like"; that everything is energy. Therefore, simplistically where a young athlete's places his/her focus is where he/she will find results. If the focus has been on practicing skills that lead to successful performance; then the expectation of successful performance is experienced.

In the sporting world, this equation is called the "Athletic Mindset".

The Athletic Mindset and You

How you view life: past, present and future; determines your Quality of Life. However, many struggle with the past; have difficulty being in the present; and are always anxious worrying about the future.

Each of us has only this moment. Yet, in this moment, we can practice thoughts and feelings that create our future. What is "The Secret"? The Secret is in the feelings attached to our thoughts; the beliefs we hold and our ability to focus on reprogramming our mind.

Emotional Physical Therapy is the method I use to coach you through the process of trusting yourself to change your mind; to trust the power of your mind; trust your feelings to ignite the thoughts that forge your beliefs. How you experience the Law of Attraction is determined by the level of Awareness you allow. It's all up to you. Practice and feel what you want; or practice thoughts and feelings of what you don't want. The Law of Attraction will yield results 100% of the time.

Life is a Game. You either succeed or fail based on how you view yourself. If the Game has left you fatigued, emotional, physically and spiritually; then it is within your power and is your responsibility to change. You wouldn't run a marathon without training, would you?
